Children’s Mental Health Week for 2018 is taking place from the 5th to the 11th of February.
The week was created by Place2Be in 2015 and has taken place every year since. Place2Be is the UK’s leading Mental Health charity for children. It provides in-school support to help improve the emotional wellbeing of pupils, teachers, staff and the pupils families.
The theme for this years children’s mental health week is #BeingOurselves
The charity want to highlight the importance of ‘Being Ourselves’ and is inviting everyone (children, young people, and adults) to get involved and celebrate our strengths and qualities in ourselves and others. By celebrating these strengths it can help to build more resilience and the ability to cope with pressures both in and out of school.
To find out more about the week and see how you can get involved please visit the children’s mental health week website. www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk

Counselling can help with a range of child related issues. ExploringU Counselling offers children a safe environment to help them understand how they feel. Younger children may benefit from art therapy which we offer, whilst older children may prefer a talking therapy. Child counselling can help with low self esteem, self harm, behavioural issues, school or home problems, bullying, bereavement/loss, learning difficulties and anxiety.
Please contact us if you would like to book an appointment to see one of qualified counsellors.
