What is Trauma Rehabilitation Service?
As each brain injury is complex and unique, exploringUcounselling Trauma Rehabilitation Service offers each individual a tailored programme of therapeutic activities, guidance and support, help to improve fitness and mobility, exploration of options for the future, exploration of social activities or hobbies and family mediation to improve self-confidence and offer a better quality of life.
Each client will have quality time with the rehabilitation coordinator to discover their needs and their hopes for the future. The clients individual circumstances will always be taken into account paying careful consideration to routine and respite if required.
Head injuries can cause physical, cognitive and emotional difficulties in people everyday lives. Common problems associated with the aftermath trauma can be hard or frustrating to deal with as even the simplest of tasks can become increasingly difficult.
How does the (TRS) work?
Our trauma rehabilitation team helps you to get back to living your life to the full in the community. We work with clients and their families to help achieve individual goals that may include re-establishing social and leisure activities, return to study or work. We support people and their families adjust to the changes in their lives after a brain injury. We offer tailor made programmes to suit the individuals needs, offer ongoing review and support for as long as required.
Is this service long or short term?
Our rehabilitation support can be short or long term, by this we mean that we are able to work alongside our clients on a daily or weekly basis, we provide clients with monthly rolling contracts, our contracts can be broken provided that one months notice in writing has been given by either party.

Are the staff trained in understanding my brain injury?
Rehabilitation staff have a background in working alongside clients with serious brain Injury, we provide staff with level one and two of exploring U counselling Bespoke In-house Brain injury training. Our staff receive monthly supervision.
