Glenda D Roberts

 Glenda D Roberts (STRC) (MBACP) (Accred) Director of exploringU counselling she is an Accredited Psychotherapist, and a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, she is also a member of the Association of Independent Practitioners, and is also a registered Psychotherapist recognised with PruHealth to be a provider of Counselling/Psychotherapy to clients with a PruHealth Policy. Glenda is a Bupa Healthcare Professional and is a recognised AXA and Aviva Therapist. 

Qualified to be listed on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, certificate No: 37347

During 2018 Glenda takes to the street and is travelling around the country to connect with and interview people who have changed their lives for the better and want to share their inspirational stories. Glenda is the founder of exploringU counselling, who runs and oversees the professional counselling/psychotherapy service as well as the professional rehabilitation service, she is a supervisor and is an Accredited member of the BACP for good practice.

Being Dyslexic and OCD, means that Glenda puts what some people might call negative attributes and turns them into positives. Glenda  comes from a business background having successfully run two companies in the past, thus creating something from nothing and nurturing it to grow. Glenda is particularly interested in the research and hands on side in helping people to grow and develop. She feels that counselling/psychotherapy should also be brought to the forefront in people minds, for people not necessarily to visit a counsellor because something is wrong, but to also visit a counsellor to help you to reach those undiscovered layers within yourself, and help to explore different perspectives to enrich your life. This is why exploringU counselling was created. Glenda feels that in every person there are  layers of the hidden self yet to be discovered and explored. She is passionate about helping others discover this for themselves and to positively affect many generations to come.

Glenda is particularly interested in brain injury, couples-counselling, critical incidents, serious trauma, suicide and the disabled. Although her broad experience means that she has many areas of interest, including working with Dissociation identity disorder (DID) severe depression and anxiety.

She also a supervisor to counsellors/psychotherapists, trauma rehabilitation co-ordinators and carers and is a Case Development Organiser, managing teams of other professionals to bring our clients the best possible experience when living through a life changing trauma or event.

In-house Acquired Brain Injury training is offered  to exploringU counselling team as well as guided supervision  as part of ongoing training and development.
